How adorable is this Handprint Heart Frame Valentine?! Perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, or any age really! Keep in mind, the smaller the child’s hand, the smaller the window for the picture will be. This is a fun handprint craft for Valentine’s Day which is right around the corner. I could also see this used for other holidays, change out for a green one and could be used as a ornament for the Christmas tree!
- Foam or construction paper
- Markers, crayons, or colored pencils (optional: to decorate page)
Start out by taking a piece of foam or construction paper with the color of your choice. For Valentine’s Day I’d pick either Pink or red! Next, fold it in half hamburger style and line up the child’s hand near the fold. You want the thumb and index fingers to go off the page a little bit, and you won’t be tracing around the tips of those two fingers, which will make it one piece when you open it up. Next, trace around all the other fingers and the curve as shown in the collage below. Next, cut where you traced, and once you open it up it should look just like the one I used!
