Looking for some cute Christmas gender reveal ideas? I found out the gender of my baby last year about 2 weeks before Christmas and wanted to do a themed announcement. After much consideration I did a combination of a couple ideas.
The first one I wanted to do was a Christmas Tree lighting video, which seemed a little crazy since most of them required colored ornaments and lights. After looking online for lights for our big tree, I decided that would be too expensive. So I took the same idea but used our miniature Christmas Tree and wrapped 2 strands of $3 lights from Walmart. One strand was blue for a boy, and the other strand was red (since there was no pink) for a girl. Had my family lived closer at the time I would have done it in person, but we ended up recording a video of it and sending it to family to announce the gender. I am so happy with how it turned out!
The second idea I incorporated was a Christmas Tree Ornament. I really wanted to do this one for a photo announcement and to have for many years to come as a reminder of when we found out the gender of our son. So, I talked with a local gal who was making Christmas ornaments and had one made with the first and middle name, along with the words “It’s a boy” and a cute little stork. I am so pleased with how this turned out, I look forward to decorating the tree for years to come with this special reminder of that exciting time.
While you have the Christmas tree out, you’ll want to wait until dark and do a pregnancy silhouette picture in front of the tree. This was one of my favorite pictures I took while I was pregnant.
Something that has nothing to do with Christmas but I also included in my original gender reveal video was this adorable “Oh Boy” shirt that I got at Ross. I have since then seen 2 people in public in different states even that were wearing this same shirt. So if you are looking for one, or any that have little feet on them you’ll want to look at Ross. I had got quite a few of them as they were really comfy, flowy, and adorable!
